Church sound system – St Marks Church, Bournemouth

Brief of the church sound system requirements

St Marks Church sound system required an upgrade. Their existing equipment was no longer suitable for purpose and they required a new system that would be ‘future proofed’ for years to come.

The existing analogue mixing desk was upgraded to an Allen & Heath digital mixer, this allowed various present ‘screens’ (Sunday service, Tuesday music group etc..) to be saved and recalled when required. In addition, the new digital mixer allowed a digital stage box to be installed at the front of the church and  wired over a single Cat6 cable. The existing speakers were integrated into the new system and a new Samson power amplifier supplied.  New Audio Technica lapel and hand held radio microphone systems were supplied (set to channel 38) all of which were connected to a remote active antenna and distribution unit to ensure the radio microphones could be used anywhere within the church without signal drop-outs.
