CCTV Equipment AND CCTV INSTALLATION
There is an overwhelming variety of CCTV equipment available to customers and choosing the correct cameras and recording device can be a difficult decision. Newtech offers a free site survey (depending on location) to discuss the options available to you and recommend suitable equipment.
The first question we ask all our customers is what exactly they want to achieve from the CCTV system.
- Do they want to monitor staff working in a busy stock room, or cars arriving into a secure area?
- Do they want to be able manually adjust the camera from a central control room?
- Will the system be used at night?
- How much footage do they need to record – 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months?
Selecting the right type of cameras for CCTV projects is not always the easiest of processes. There are a range of technical specifications as well as any physical constraints the site may impose. Newtech offers advice, design, installation and maintenance services to suit all types of businesses.
Recording Devices – DVR’S
To record camera footage Newtech recommends using a dedicated DVR (Digital Video Recorder). Camera leads plug directly into the back of the unit and the easy to use software allows all cameras to be viewed live, or past footage to be searched for and played back via the DVR’s hard drive. The amount of camera footage that can be recorded depends on the size of the hard drive, the number of cameras on the system and the recording quality of the camera images. Most DVR’s come with a built in CD recorder onto which recorded video footage can be stored.
