Brief
To install a public address system which could be used by different groups who regularly hire the hall
Install
As the hall is used by many different groups it was important to install a system which was easy to use and control. In light of this the equipment (amplifier, radio microphone receivers etc..) was installed within a lockable cupboard within the hall. Next to this cupboard were a ON/OFF switch, a volume control and an input socket. These controls would allow users to switch on the system, set a suitable volume and (if required) attach a laptop or MP3 player to the sound system without accessing the amplifier itself. This setup prevented users adjusting the amplifier setting which were only to be adjusted by trained staff.
