BRIEF :
To upgrade the existing audio visual system
INSTALLATION :
To cater for the growing congregation of New Milton EFC the church hall was due to be expanded. As part of these works Newtech Southern was chosen to upgrade the existing audio visual system. A new sound system was designed to allow live music to be controlled from a mixing desk which was integrated into the equipment rack at the rear of the church. New Wharfdale wall mounted speakers provided adequate sound reinforcement and an Mp3 audio recording unit allow services to be recorded to SD cards or straight to a laptop. The church had been using a projector on a table for some time but it was often getting in the way and so it was decided to upgrade to a fixed projector system which would be linked to a laptop connection point at the rear of the church (next to the equipment rack). The usual procedure of installing a projector on the ceiling was not practical here as the upstairs room was occasionally used for childrens play groups and any jumping around by the children on the floor above would effect the projected image. For this reason an ultra short throw projector was supplied which could be placed on a dedicated stand very close to the screen
