To install hearing aid (AFILS) induction loop system on all help points, enquiry desks, meeting rooms and theatres within the library.
Install
Portsmouth City library required new hearing loop systems to be installed on all reception/information points as well as in various meetings rooms and in their theatre. Newtech was chosen to carry out this project which started with a thorough site survey in order to assess whether any electromagnetic interference was present which would interfere with the loop systems. Through staff consultations and detailed study of architectural drawings the exact location of where each system would be installed was finalised and our 1st fix installation of all loop cables commenced.
The main theatre within the library required a upgrade to their existing loop system which was not performing well. A new loop amplifier and the introduction of an ambient room microphone and hand held wireless microphone helped this system to relay all stage sound directly to hearing aids.
A portable induction loop system was also supplied for use throughout the library.
