Brief
To design and install a public address system for the church which would include feeds to adjacent rooms and to install a multiple camera system for live streaming of services.
Install
PA SYSTEM INSTALLATION – The existing Public address system within St. marks church required upgrading due to poor sound quality. The new system consisted of 6 speakers throughout the main body of the church with additional speakers covering the altar, rear and side balconies. The adjoining Crèche, function hall, office and foyer areas also required there own feeds. Newtech designed a 11 zone 100v speaker system which allowed the volume in each area to be individually adjusted without affecting the volume other areas. Wall mounted volume controls were installed in the adjoining rooms to allow this together with a rack mounted 11 zone volume control panel which would allow adjustments to be made from the rack. Audio technical Microline gooseneck microphones were installed on the lecterns and Sennheiser radio microphones were supplied for use throughout the church.
CAMERA SYSTEM INSTALLATION – Alongside the installation of the public address system, a high definition camera system was installed to allow services to be streamed via their website. 8 x HDSDI cameras were installed throughout the church and routed through a video switcher/encoder unit.
The equipment for both systems was installed within two wooden rack units which were produced in a mahogany finish to match the church interior.
